Clos Barenys Merlot / Syrah, best young red wine in the D.O. Tarragona
The young red wine Clos Barenys Merlot / Syrah 2005 from Bodegas J. M. Bach I Fills in Vilaseca has won the first prize in the category Young Red in the XII Bottled Wines Competition of the D.O. Tarragona, organized by its regulating council.
The competition took place on Monday, May 22nd, in the enology school of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona. Enologists, sommeliers, teachers of the enology school and other experts in wine constituted the panel of tasting. 15 wines from other wineries competed with Clos Barenys Merlot / Syrah 2005 in the same category.
