Clos Barenys wins Japan

From September on Japanese consumers will be able to find Clos Barenys wines from the D.O. Tarragona.

It is a mythical company with more than a century of history and more than 50 shops around the whole Japan. There, the whole range of Clos Barenys wines, from its flagship, the Clos Barenys Reserva, to other with different characters will be on sale from September on.

Although Japan is a country without winegrowing tradition, its market has a strong growth potential and the high purchasing power of its inhabitants represents a great opportunity for foreign wines. Just a 33% of commercialized wines are national, whereas the rest is imported mainly from Europe.

For Bodegas J.M. Bach i Fills, producer of Clos Barenys wines, this is just the beginning of a close and lasting relationship with this country.
