Clos Barenys introduces its first white wine

Clos Barenys will introduce its first white wine during March. The cellar that until now only had ellaborated mainly red wines, decided a few years ago to plant a variety of white grapes, with the aim to incorporate into its current assortment an offer very linked to the Mediterranean cuisine of the area of Tarragona.
This new wine is the Clos Barenys Muscat 2007. A young dry white wine ellaborated 100 % out of Muscat of Alexandria grapes. Of yellow straw color, very pale with golden reflexes, it offers fruity aromas typical of this variety. Very fresh with hints of flowers petals and ripe citrus fruits (mandarin, orange). In mouth is fresh, smooth and very balanced, elegant and perfumed with notes of ripe fruit. Long and persistent.
This vintage is limited to 3.000 bottles and it is foreseen to double the production in two years.
